(Indianapolis, IN) Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano has been named the recipient of the 2013 George Halas Award by the Pro Football Writers Association.
The Halas award is given to an NFL player, coach, or staff member that overcomes the most adversity to succeed.
Pagano invigorated the league by successfully winning his battle over Leukemia and later resume his head coaching duties at the end of the season.
Pagano is the 44th Halas Award winner and fourth Colt to receive the award named after Chicago Bears' and NFL icon, George Halas.
