(Cincinnati, OH) - In the National League Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Pirates scored early against Mat Latos and pulled closer to the top of the NL Central Division with a 4-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark.
The Pirates ended Latos' streak of 21 regular season starts without a loss, a streak that dates back to last August.
The Pirates are a half game behind the Reds for second place in the division and three-games behind the first place Cardinals.
Cincinnati is 43-29 and will host the Pirates tonight at 7:10.
