(Pittsburgh, PA) - In the National League Sunday, the Pittsburgh Pirates avoided a home sweep by beating the Cincinnati Reds 5-4 in 11-innings.
Garrett Jones hit a two-run blast in the eighth inning for Pittsburgh to tie the game at 4-4, then Travis Snider hit an RBI base hit with two outs in the eleventh to give Pittsburgh the win.
Zach Cozart and Todd Fraizer drove in runs during a four-run, first inning for Cincinnati and finished with a pair of hits each.
The Reds are 35-22 and host the Colorado Rockies tonight at 7:10.
