(Los Angeles, CA) - In the National League Wednesday, Anthony Rizzo cleared the bases in the tenth inning to give the Chicago Cubs an 8-6 win over Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium.
Rizzo hit a two-out double to right field in the top of-the-tenth inning to put the Cubs up 8-5.
Mark Trumbo hit his second home run of the game in the bottom of-the-tenth for the Angels, but Kevin Gregg struck out the next two batters in improving to 2-0 on the year.
Cody Ransom homered in the fifth inning to tie the game at 4-4 for the Cubs, and Ryan Sweeney gave Chicago a run one lead with an RBI single in the sixth.
Trumbo tied the game in the eighth with his first home run on the night, a solo shot off of Cubs' reliever James Russell.
Chicago is 24-33 and open a weekend series against the Pittsburgh Pirates Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field.
