(Dover, DE) - In NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series, Tony Stewart is back in victory lane for the first time in 31 races after taking the checkered flag Sunday at Dover International Speedway.
The native of Columbus, Indiana passed Juan Pablo Montoya with three-laps remaining to notch his first win and first top-five finish this season.
Montoya finished second, Jeff Gordon third, Kyle Busch fourth, and Brad Keselowski fifth.
Jimmie Johnson was fastest on the one-mile oval for most of the day but was penalized for jumping a late restart.
The Sprint Cup Series continues this Sunday at Pocono Raceway.
