(Chicago, IL) - In the American League Tuesday, the Chicago White Sox recovered from a game-tying error in the ninth inning to beat the New York Mets 5-4 at US Cellular Field.
A miscommunication by the left side of the White Sox infield in the ninth inning allowed a routine pop fly to fall safely to the field.
David Wright scored the game tying run on the error, but Alexei Ramirez singled-in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to preserve the victory for Chicago.
The White Sox are 32-42 and finish their interleague series with the Mets tonight.
First pitch is at 8:10.
