(Oakland, CA) - In Major Baseball, League The Oakland A’s rallied in the eighth inning to beat the Chicago Cubs 8-7 at the Coliseum in Oakland.
Derek Norris hit a three-run homer with two-outs in the eighth in giving the A's the win and a half game lead for first place in the AL west.
Josh Donaldson homered for the second straight day and finished with two-hits and two-RBIs.
Alfonso Soriano tied the game in the third inning with a three-run homer.
Welington Castillo gave Chicago a two-run cushion in the sixth with a two-run double and finished two-hits and three-RBIs.
Dioner Navarro went 3-4 and scored a run for the Cubs.
Chicago is 35-46 and play in Oakland tonight 10:05.
