(Seattle, WA) - In the American League, the Cleveland Indians avoided a sweep to the Seattle Mariners with a 10-1 victory last night at Safeco Field.
Michael Bourn hit a grand slam in the fifth inning that gave the Indians and 8-1 lead and finished with two-hits and four RBIs.
Scott Kazmir improved to 6-4 after eight innings pitched and seven strike outs. The Indians are 53-48 and have today off.
They begin a weekend series tomorrow against the Texas Rangers.
