(Atlanta, GA) - In the National League, the Atlanta Braves finished a weekend sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals with a 5-2 win yesterday at Turner Field.
Carlos Beltran and starting pitcher Shelby Miller tied the game at 2-to-2 in the fifth inning with an RBI each.
The Braves responded in their next at bat with a game deciding three-run inning to earn their first sweep of the Cardinals in 10-years.
St. Louis, 60-and-42, leads the Pirates for first in the NL Central by a game and-a-half.
The Cardinals and Pirates start a three-game series tonight in Pittsburgh.
