(Anaheim, CA) - In Major League Baseball Wednesday, the St. Louis Cardinals exploded in the second inning to sink the Los Angeles Angels 12-to-2 at Angel Park in Anaheim.
John Jay highlighted a seven-run, second inning for St. Louis with a two-run homer and finished with 3-RBIs on the night.
Matt Carpenter had 3-RBIs and hit his eighth home run of the season in the seventh inning.
The Cardinals are two-games behind the Pittsburgh Pirates for first place in the N-L Central Division and play in Anaheim tonight at 9:05.
