(San Francisco, CA) - In the National League, the Chicago Cubs finished their 10-game road trip out west by finishing a sweep of the San Francisco Giants, 2-1 yesterday at AT&T Park.
Starting pitcher Travis Wood homered in the fifth inning and Welington Castillo hit a tiebreaking home run in the seventh in lifting the Cubs to a 6-4 mark since the All-Star break.
Wood leveled his record at 7-7 after striking out seven in seven-innings pitched.
The Cubs are 48-55 and start an eight game home stand tonight.
They play the Brewers at 8:05.
