(Chicago, IL) - In the National League Thursday, Edwin Jackson won for the third straight time and Anthony Rizzo drove-in three-runs in leading the Chicago Cubs to a 3-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field.
Jackson improved to 5-10 on the year after tossing a three-hitter in seven-innings pitched and striking out five.
Rizzo had an RBI double in the first inning and made it 3-to-nothing with a two-run single in the third.
Cardinals' left fielder Matt Holliday left the game in the fourth inning because of tightness in his left hamstring.
The Cardinals are 55-35 and have a one-game lead on the Pittsburgh Pirates for first place in the N-L Central.
The Cubs have won five of their last six games and host the Cardinals this afternoon at 4:05.
