(Detroit, MI) - In the American League Wednesday, Prince Fielder homered and scored twice in leading the Detroit Tigers past the Chicago White Sox 8-5 in Detroit.
Fielder hit a two-run shot in the first inning and later drove-in a run in the sixth for his third RBI on the night.
Conor Gillaspie and Gordon Beckham each homered for the White Sox.
Dylan Axlerod left the game in the sixth after allowing seven-runs on 11-hits and two-walks.
The White Sox play in Detroit this afternoon at 1:08.
