(undated) - In the National League Monday, a superb catch by Carlos Gomez in the ninth inning preserved the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
Joey Votto was facing Brewers' closer Francisco Rodriguez with one-on and two-outs in the top of-the-ninth inning when he drove a ball to deep centerfield.
Gomez reached over the wall and made the catch, robbing Votto of the potential game winning home run and assisting Rodriguez in his ninth save of the year.
Homer Bailey allowed four-runs on ten-hits in his first outing since throwing a no hitter last week against the Giants.
The Reds are 50-39 and play the Brewers tonight at 8:10.
