(Cincinnati, OH) - In the National League Tuesday, Homer Bailey threw his second no-hitter in 10 months and the Cincinnati Reds beat the San Francisco Giants 3-0 at Great American Ballpark.
Bailey had a perfect game in the seventh inning when he issued his first and only walk of the game.
The contest ended when Gregor Blanco grounded out to third base in the top-of-the-ninth inning.
Bailey improved to 5-6 on the year after nine innings pitched, no hits, no runs, one walk, and nine strikeouts in 102 and pitches.
His last no-hitter was on September 28th, when the Reds beat the Pirates 1-0 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Cincinnati is 48-36 and host the Giants tonight at 7:10.
