(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has a new president.
Doug Boles was named to the post Tuesday, after serving as the facility's Media Relations Coordinator and Chief Operating Officer.
Boles responsibilities include the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the legendary facility, including the major racing events, the Indianapolis 500, Kroger Super Weekend, and Red Bull Indianapolis GP.
Boles has a long background in racing, he co-founded IndyCar's Panther Racing, and most recently saw his step-son, rising star Conor Daly compete in the Indianapolis 500.
Boles' appointment moves Jeff Belskus back to his role of president of Hulman & Company, while adding the title of chief financial officer to his responsibilities.
