(San Diego, CA) - In the National League, the San Diego Padres handed the Cincinnati Reds their fifth straight loss with a 4-2 win at Petco Park early this morning.
Nick Hundley hit a two-run double in the eighth inning off of Reds' reliever Sam LeCure to give San Diego the lead for good.
Will Venable doubled-in the game tying run in the sixth and went 3-for-3 for the Padres.
Reds starter and former Padre Mat Latos allowed two-runs and struck out six in six-innings pitched.
Jay Bruce and Devon Mesoraco each drove-in runs for Cincinnati.
The Reds are 59-49 and play in San Diego today at 3:40.
