(Denver, CO) - In the National League, the Colorado Rockies snapped Edwin Jackson’s three-game winning streak by beating the Chicago Cubs 4-3 at Coors Field Sunday.
Nolan Arenado hit a two-run single in the sixth inning to give Colorado a 4-to-2 lead.
A rally by the Cubs in the ninth inning was snuffed out and Jackson fell to 6-11 on the year after allowing three-runs in seven-innings pitched. Starlin Castro had four-hits and scored in the ninth when Alfonso Soriano grounded out to short stop.
The Cubs are 43-53 and play the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at Chase Field. First pitch is at 9:40.
