White Sox Lose, Trade Peavy To Red Sox

(undated) - In the American League, the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago White Sox 7-4 at Progressive Field.

Yan Gomez went 2-3 with 3 RBIs, including a two-run double in the eight inning for Cleveland.

Adam Dunn had a pair of hits and gave the White Sox and early lead with a two-run double in the first inning.

The White Sox are 40--64 and have lost five straight games.

The Indians are 58-48 and trail the Detroit Tigers by two and-a-half games for first place in the AL Central.

The White Sox and Indians play again tonight at 7:05.

Chicago starting pitcher Jake Peavy was traded to the Boston Red Sox yesterday in a three-team trade.

The White Sox received minor-league outfield prospect Avisail Garcia and three other minor leaguers.
