(St. Louis, MO) - The Reds jumped on the St. Cardinals early and often in a 10-0 win on Wednesday night.
The Reds, who dropped the first two games of the three game set, teed off with six runs in the first inning while batting around the order.
In the top of the second inning, Jay Bruce delivered a three run shot to put the Reds up 9-0 in the second.
Homer Bailey cruised to the win for the Reds by striking out seven in his ninth win of the season.
The Reds are now 3.5 games back of the lead for the NL Central.
