(Undated) - In the National League on Sunday, the St. Louis Cardinals fell at home to the Braves 5-2 as Atlanta avoids a four game sweep from Busch Stadium.
Brownsburg, IN native Lance Lyn struggled on the mound, giving up nine hits surrendering four runs in seven innings of work.
The Cardinals are 76-54, tied with the Pirates for the NL Central lead.
In Cincinnati Sunday afternoon, the Reds dropped their second game in three days to the Brewers 3-1.
The Reds were 0-4 with runners in scoring position in the loss.
They are 2.5 back of the Cardinals and Pirates and head to St. Louis Monday for a set with the Cardinals.
In fifteen innings in San Diego, the Padres knocked off the Cubs 3-2.
Threw the first 12 innings, each team failed to produce a run, but the Cubs pushed across two runs in the top of the 12th to take control.
The Padres answered with two runs of their own in the 12th, and sealed the win in the 15th with a walk off single.
