(Cincinnati, OH) - In the National League, Diamondback’s slugger Paul Goldschmidt hit a grand slam late in the game to sink the Cincinnati Reds 5-2 at Great American Ballpark yesterday.
Goldschmidt homered for 31st time this season, a bases-clearing shot in the eighth inning that gave Arizona a 5-0 lead.
Reds' starter Tony Cingrani left the game in the fourth inning with a lower back strain.
Cingrani, whose been filling in for staff ace Johnny Cueto, said after the game that he's been experiencing pain in his back for a couple of weeks.
The Reds are 71-and-55 and host the Diamondbacks tonight at 8:00.
