Last updated on Thursday, August 15, 2013

(Minneapolis, MN) - Michael Brantley’s sacrifice fly in the twelfth-inning gave the Cleveland Indians a 9-to-8 win over the Minnesota Twins at Target Field last night.

Brantley's two-out, fly ball to centerfield in the third extra frame scored Nick Swisher and gave the Indians the series win over their AL Central counterparts.

Cleveland grabbed the lead in the tenth inning on a home run by catcher Carlos Santana, but the Twins responded in their next at bat when their catcher, Joe Mauer, hit a solo shot of his own to left field.

The Indians are 65-and-56 on the year and have won three of their last four games. The open a weekend series tomorrow at the Oakland A's.
