(Philadelphia, PA) - In the National League, Donnie Murphy hit a tiebreaking home run in the top of- the-ninth inning to give the Cubs a 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens’ Bank Park.
Murphy's second home run of the game was a three-run shot off of Phillies' reliever Luis Garcia and capped a three-hit, four RBI evening for the journeyman short stop.
Catcher Dioner Navarro left the game on a cart after he was barreled into in the bottom of-the-seventh inning.
Navarro was taken to a hospital for X-Rays and could miss several games.
The Cubs are 50-63 and play the Phillies today at 1:05.
