(Chicago, IL) - In the National League, the Chicago Cubs avoided a four-game home sweep with a 6-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field last night.
Edwin Jackson improved to 711 on the year after an eight-inning, one-run game.
Anthony Rizzo gave the Cubs a 2-0 lead in the third inning with a two-run homer, and Starlin Castro made it 3-0 in the Cubs next at bat with his seventh home run of the season.
The Cubs open a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight at Wrigley Field.
First pitch is at 8:05.
