Last updated on Tuesday, August 20, 2013

(Bristol, TN) - In NASCAR, Stewart-Haas Racing officials announced Monday that Tony Stewart will miss the rest of the Sprint Cup season because of a broken leg.

The three-time champion is expected to make a full recovery from a sprint car accident on August 5th and return for preseason testing in January of 2014.

Two drivers will navigate Stewart's number-14 Chevrolet over the remainder of the season.

NASCAR veteran Mark Martin will drive for Stewart in 12 races, beginning with this week's Sprint Cup race at Bristol.

Austin Dillon, who finished 14th in relief of Stewart last Sunday at Michigan, will drive for the Columbus, Indiana native at Talladega Superspeedway on October 20th.
