(Minneapolis, MN) - Twins’ starter Andrew Albers threw a complete game shutout and Brian Dozier homered for the second straight day in leading Minnesota past the struggling Cleveland Indians 3-to-nothing at Target Field Monday.
Albers two-hit the Indians in just his second major league start and has begun his pro career with 17 and-a-third scoreless innings.
Dozier led off the game with his 12th home run of the season and Trevor Plouffe added a two-run shot in the second inning.
The Indians are 63-and-56 on the year and sliding out of the playoff contention after losing seven of eight games. They play the Twins tonight at 8:10.
