(Chicago, IL) - In the American League, the Chicago White Sox beat the New York Yankees 3-2 at U-S Cellular Field Tuesday night.
Chris Sale won for the first time in four decisions after pitching into the eighth inning and striking out six.
Beleaguered Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez reached base three times, including an incident in the third inning when Sale grazed his elbow.
Rodriguez was booed non-stop by the Chicago crowd in his second game back in the Yankee lineup this season.
A-Rod continues to play while appealing a 211game suspension from baseball for his alleged connection to performance enhancing drugs.
The White Sox are 42-69 and go for the three-game sweep of the Yankees tonight at 8:10.
