(Denver, CO) The St. Louis Cardinals abused Colorado Rockies pitching for 18 hits on the way to an 11-4 win Tuesday.
The win propelled the Redbirds into first alone in the National League Central.
Seven Cardinals had at least two hits, led by outfielder Matt Holliday's four, which included a home run and a double.
Joe Kelly didn't allow a run in five innings for the Cardinals, en route to his 9th win of the year.
Juan Nicasio took his 8th loss of the season for the Rockies, after being bombed for 8 runs and 8 hits in just 2 2/3 innings of work.
