(Indianapolis, IN) - Indianapolis Colts rookie John Boyett was arrested early Monday morning and charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.
Boyett was expected to be released from the Marion County Jail after posting 150-dollars bond.
Boyett was a sixth-round draft choice out of Oregon who has been on the reserve / non-football injury list all preseason.
The police report says the incident began when Boyett was refused entry to a downtown Indianapolis bar because a worker said he was "too intoxicated".
It took four Metro Police officers to subdue Boyett, who fled police on foot before being apprehended.
A Colts spokesman says the team is aware of the incident and will not comment until they have completed gathering facts.
