(Cleveland, OH) - The red-hot Cleveland Indians survived a scare on their way to a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Twins that inched the Tribe closer to a playoff spot Thursday night.
The Indians led 6-1 in the bottom of the 9th, but watched closer Chris Perez allow four runs, before Joe Smith nailed down his 3rd save.
Michael Brantley and Yan Gomes each had three hits for the Indians, who won for the 7th straight game.
The Indians remain one game ahead of Texas for the final A.L. Wild Card spot.
