(Cleveland, OH) - The Cleveland Indians needed extra innings to take down the hapless Houston Astros 2-1 in 11 innings.
Outfielder Matt Carson drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 11th with a single to right field scoring catcher Yan Gomes.
Nick Swisher had four hits for the Indians, who stay ½ game back in the A.L. Wild Card race.
Bryan Shaw earned the win for Cleveland, his 5th of the season.
Rhiner Cruz took the loss for Houston, who fell to 51-102 on the season.
