(Kansas City, MO) - The Cleveland Indians rallied from three runs down late to top the Kansas City Royals 5-3 in a crucial game with A.L. Wild Card implications Tuesday.
The Indians trailed 3-0 after 5 innings before beginning to chip away by scoring in each of the last four frames.
Asdrubal Cabrera provided the go-ahead run with double to left in the 8th inning. Reliever Cody Allen picked up his 2nd win for the Indians, with closer Chris Perez pitching a perfect 9th for his 25th save.
Wade Davis took the loss for the Royals, falling to 7-11.
With the win, the Indians stay ½ game out in the A.L. Wild Card race, with the Royals dropping to 3 ½ back.
