(Boston, MA) - The Boston Red Sox completed a three-game sweep of Chicago, edging the White Sox 7-6 at Fenway Park.
David Ortiz drove in three runs for Boston with Jacoby Ellsbury driving in two and Stephen Drew adding a solo home run, his eleventh of the season.
Chicago spotted Boston a five run lead before scoring four times in the top of the fourth, but the Red sox would get two back in the bottom of the inning.
A fifth-inning single from Paul Konerko and a solo homer by Tyler Flowers in the eighth pulled the White Sox to within a run, but Koji Uehara slammed the door in the ninth for Boston.
