(Cincinnati, OH) - The Cincinnati Reds joined the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League playoffs Monday night, clinching at least a Wild Card berth.
The Reds earned the berth with a 3-2 win in 10 innings over the New York Mets, which was followed minutes later by a Washington Nationals loss to St. Louis that put Cincinnati in the postseason.
Shin-Soo Choo drove in the winning run with a single off the wall in the 10th inning, making Manny Parra the winning pitcher for the 2nd time this season.
Greg Burke was saddled with the loss for the Mets, falling to 0-3.
The Reds and Pirates remain 2 games behind the Cardinals for first place in the N.L. Central.
