(Chicago, IL) - The Chicago White Sox dealt their closer Monday.
The Sox dealt bullpen ace Addison Reed to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for third baseman Matt Davidson.
Davidson hit 17 homers in AAA last year before getting 76 at bats late in the season for the Snakes.
It's expected Davidson will be the team's starting third baseman next year.
Reed saved 40 games to go along with a 4.17 ERA for the Sox this season.
