(Youngstown, OH) - LaVonte Dority poured in a game-high 27 points to rally Valparaiso past Youngstown State 74-71 Thursday night in the Horizon League.
The Crusaders trailed by 9 at the half before Dority led Valpo back on a night where the guard was 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and 8-for-8 at the free-throw line.
Jubril Adekoya chipped in with 13 points.
The Crusaders are now 12-9 overall and 4-2 in league play.
The Penguins were paced by Bobby Hain's 16 points.
