(West Lafayette, IN) - The Purdue Boilermakers needed three overtimes to halt their four-game losing streak as they defeated the Minnesota Golden Gophers 77-74 at Mackey Arena.
AJ Hammons led the Boilers with a season-high 20 points and 14 rebounds.
Kendall Stephens added 14 points off the bench as Purdue overcame a 9-23 night from the free throw line to improve to 14-9, 4-6 in the Big Ten.
Maurice Walker led the Gophers with 17 points with DeAndre Mathieu finishing with 15 as Minnesota lost its third game in a row to drop to 15-8, 4-6 in the conference.
Purdue hits the road to take on Ohio State on Saturday evening.
