(Avondale, AZ) - Kevin Harvick had the dominant car and survived a pair of late restarts to win Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Phoenix International Raceway.
Harvick led 224 of the 312 laps in his Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet to claim his second Sprint Cup win in a row at PIR.
Daytona 500 winner Dale Earnhardt, Junior finished second, almost a half-second behind Harvick at the finish. Pole-winner Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Jeff Gordon rounded out the top five.
Gordon was the top finisher among drivers with Indiana ties. South Bend's Ryan Newman came in seventh with Columbus-native Tony Stewart finishing 16th.
Earnhardt maintains the points lead by six over Keselowski with Gordon third and Harvick pulling into fourth place.
