(Atlanta, GA) - Kyle Korver, who was difficult for the Pacers in game 1, was causing trouble again last night.
This time hot handed Korver finished with 20 points for Atlanta, on 6 of 9 shooting including four 3 pointers and a big momentum stopping 4 point play.
The Hawks defeated the Pacers 98-85, to claim a 2-1 series lead in the best of 7 set.
As a team the Hawks shot 34 three pointers, making 12 of them, while the Pacers shot 20, but made just 5. Jeff Teague led all scorers with 22 points, and was also very instrumental passing the ball as he finished with a game high 10 assists, to complete the double double.
Lance Stephenson led the Pacers with 21 points and 13 rebounds in the losing effort, while Luis Scola had 17 off the bench on 7 of 11 shooting.
The Pacers played with intensity, but after going just 2 of 16 from beyond the arc in the first half Hawks caught fire in the 3rd, and finished going 10 of 18 from long range, stifling a couple different Pacers runs, by nailing the 3.
Roy Hibbert continued to be ineffective for the Pacers, playing just 18 minutes, and scoring only 4 points without any rebounds, he shot 2 of 9 from the field.
He and the Pacers hope to get back on track and even the series in game 4, which is in Atlanta on Saturday, tipping off, at 2pm Eastern time.
