(Cincinnati, OH) - The Cincinnati Reds were victors over the Chicago Cubs 8 to 2. Jay Bruce went 2 for 5 with solo home run in the win. Cubs starter Carlos Villanueva gave up 5 earned runs in the loss.
(Chicago, IL) - The Chicago White Sox snapped their 4 game losing streak with a 16 to 2 pounding of the Texas Rangers. The first three hitters in the lineup combined for 8 hits and 10 runs batted in.
(Cleveland, OH) - The Cleveland Indians beat the Toronto Blue Jays 6 to 4. Michael Brantley had a home run for the Indians.
(St. Louis, MO) - Then the Washington National beat the St Louis Cardinals 3 to 2. Outfielder Denard Span hit a sacrifice fly in the 9th to win the game for Washington.
