(UNDATED) - The following is a wrapup of regional baseball matchups from Thursday.
The Chicago Cubs got their first win of the season with a 3 to 2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Emilio Bonafacio continued his hot hitting going 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and a stolen base in the win. Starting Pitcher Jason Hammel got the win by going 6 and 2/3 giving up only one run and striking out 5.
The Cubs will enjoy their home opener tomorrow against the Philadelphia Phillies. Chicago will have Travis Wood as their starter.
The Cincinnati Reds dropped a contest to the St Louis Cardinals 7 to 6.
The 3, 4 and 5 hitters for the Reds went a combined 7 for 13 but it didn't prove to be enough.
It's the second loss for Cincinnati. The Reds will play the New York Mets on the road tomorrow.
The Chicago White fell to the Minnesota Twins 10 to 9.
Jose Abreu had 4 RBIs in the loss for the White Sox.
Chicago will travel to Kansas City to face the Royals tomorrow.
