(Pocono, PA) - Dale Earnhardt Junior was in the right place at the right time to capitalize on Brad Keselowski’s overheating car and the third-generation driver won the Pocono 400, despite leading only 11 laps on the day.
Keselowski lost the lead while trying to use the slower car of Danica Patrick to get debris off his grille that was overheating his car.
Earnhardt capitalized for his second win of the season. It's the first time in 10 years that Earnhardt Junior has won multiple races in NASCAR's top series.
Ryan Newman came home 7th. Jeff Gordon finished 8th, Tony Stewart looked like a potential winner until he got a pit road speeding penalty; he scrambled back to finish 13th.
