(Indianapolis) The player the Pacers brought in with a splashy trade during last season apparently won’t be around next year according to USA Today.
The Blue & Gold will not extend a qualifying offer to swingman Evan Turner and he will become an unrestricted free agent today.
Turner was brought to the Pacers in the biggest deal of the NBA's trade deadline day, along with center Lavoy Allen, for Danny Granger and a second-round pick.
Turner clearly wasn't an option for the Pacers down the stretch, as he was only given a total of four minutes in the entire Eastern Conference Finals.
