(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indianapolis Colts made some roster moves on Monday.
The Indianapolis Colts today waived CB-Johnny Adams, CB-Qua Cox, G-Andre Cureton, G-Marcus Hall, CB-Kameron Jackson, WR-Nu'Keese Richardson, LB-Jonathon Sharpe, S-David Sims, WR-Eric Thomas, WR-Tony Washington and FB-Cameron White.
With the moves today, the Colts have reached a 79-man roster. The team has until 4 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, August 26 to reach the league-mandated 75-man roster.
Adams was signed by the Colts as a free agent on June 4, 2014. He played in four games with the Buffalo Bills in 2013, primarily on special teams. At Michigan State, Adams started 39-of-54 collegiate games and finished his career ranked fourth in school history in interception return yards (230), fifth in passes defensed (35) and 10th in interceptions (11).
Cox was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2014. He finished his senior season at Jackson State with 32 tackles and 12 passes defensed, which earned him a place on the Sports Network Buck Buchanan Award watch list. As a junior in 2012, Cox led the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) with five interceptions and was third in the league with 13 passes defensed.
Cureton was signed by the Colts as a free agent on August 20, 2014. He was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2014 and was waived on August 12. Collegiately, Cureton appeared in 23 games on the offensive line for Cincinnati, making six starts.
Hall was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2014. He was originally signed by the team as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2014and was waived on June 12. Hall competed in 46 career games for Ohio State and started 31 games, including 25 as a junior and senior, during which time the Buckeyes set a school-record winning streak of 24 consecutive games.
Jackson was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 16, 2014. He played in 30 games (14 starts) over three seasons (2011-13) with Cal, posting career totals of 75 tackles, nine passes defensed, four interceptions, two tackles for loss and one fumble recovery.
Richardson was originally signed by the Colts as a free agent on August 4, 2014. He played for the University of Pikeville in 2013, where he recorded 39 receptions for 588 yards and three touchdowns in nine games. In 2009, Richardson played in nine games for the University of Tennessee and caught eight passes for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Sharpe was signed by the Colts as a free agent on July 29, 2014. He attended the 2014 Super Regional Combine at Ford Field in Detroit. Collegiately, Sharpe started two years for North Greenville University, where he totaled 132 tackles, including 23.5 for a loss, 5.5 sacks and three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
Sims was signed by the Colts as a free agent on February 10, 2014. He appeared in 15 games (one start) with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012 and totaled eight solo tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass defensed. Sims was originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent on July 28, 2011 and also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns before joining the Eagles.
Thomas was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2014. Thomas finished his Troy career ranked third all-time in school history with 197 receptions, third with 2,655 career receiving yards and second with 29 touchdown receptions. He is the Sun Belt Conference's all-time leader in career touchdown receptions.
Washington was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2014. At Appalachian State, he competed in 49 games and totaled 139 receptions for 1,837 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also contributed with 13 carries for 90 yards and two scores. Washington ranks eighth in Appalachian State history in both receptions and receiving yards.
White was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on April 18, 2014. He attended the 2014 Chicago NFL Regional Combine in addition to the Super Regional Combine in Detroit. In four seasons (2009-2012) with the Hillsdale College (Mich.) Chargers, he registered 94 receptions for 1,145 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also scored one rushing touchdown and contributed with 17 tackles on special teams.
