(Cambridge Junction, MI) - Jeff Gordon’s resurgence continued Sunday, with the veteran star’s first win at the Michigan International Speedway since 2001.
Gordon passed Joey Logano on a late restart and held off Kevin Harvick to win the Pure Michigan 400 Sunday, his third win of the season. Gordon now leads the point standings by 3 over teammate Dale Earnhardt Junior.
Ryan Newman finished 11th. Jeff Burton, driving in place of Columbus native Tony Stewart, who hasn't raced since a Sprint Car accident that killed a fellow competitor, finished 37th.
