(Kannapolis, NC) - NASCAR star Tony Stewart will sit out Saturday night’s Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Stewart hasn't raced following the death of Kevin Ward Junior in a dirt track race in New York August 9th. Ward was killed when a sprint car driven by Stewart hit him after he exited his car during the race at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.
Stewart's car will once again be driven by veteran Jeff Burton, who drove the car last week at Michigan International Speedway.
Stewart's team his plans for the rest of the season have not yet been determined.
