(Jacksonville, FL) - All those talks of Andrew Luck being “off” the first two weeks seem to be just that. Talk.
Luck had a career best day as he led the Colts to their first win of the season in a dominant 44-17 victory over the Jaguars.
Luck finished 31/39, 370 yards and 4 touchdowns. Luck finished with a career best 140.4 passer rating, tied a career best in touchdowns and his 370 passing yards tied his fourth best game total.
The Colts defense also impressed on the day. Coming in to Sunday's game the defense had only one sack through two games but registered four despite having no legit pass rusher.
For the Jaguars, starting quarterback Chad Henne was yanked at halftime when the Colts led 30-0 and the top QB taken in the draft, Blake Bortles, took the field for the second half. Bortles showed signs of brilliance, connecting for two touchdowns but also struggled at times with two interceptions. Bortles finished his one half of football 14/24 for 223 yards, two touchdowns and two picks.
Jaguars head coach already named Bortles the starter in week four when they look for their first win of the season against the Chargers .
The Colts move to 1-2 on the season and have a home date against the Tennessee Titans in week four.
