(UNDATED) - The Indiana Pacers opened the twenty-fourteen NBA preseason with a win against the Minnesota Timberwolves last night 103-90.
George Hill led the blue & gold with 17 points and also 7 assists. Pacers rookie Shayne Whittington added 11 points off the bench and shooting five for five from the field.
Lavoy Allen chipped in 10 points and also 7 rebounds. Rodney Stuckey added 9 points in 15 minutes of playing time and Roy Hibbert also added 8 points and 5 rebounds.
The number 1 pick from this year's NBA Draft Andrew Wiggins led the way for Minnesota with 18 points, Thaddeus Young scored 12 points along with grabbing 4 boards and Corey Brewer also had 10 points.
Former Purdue standout Robbie Hummel scored 2 points for Minnesota but did haul in 5 rebounds.
The Pacers next preseason game is Friday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse against the Orlando Magic.
