(INDIANAPOLIS) - Despite a ferocious fourth quarter rally the Pacers came up just short and fell to the Chicago Bulls 92-90.
Chris Copeland scored 13 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter as the Pacers outscored the Bulls 25-11 in the final period. But the Bulls held on thanks to Jimmy Butler's 27 points.
Copeland said the fourth quarter rally by Indiana came from "lockdown defense."
Frank Vogel said the rally was a case of too little, too late saying the Pacers were "outplayed for three quarters" and "fell short" in the end.
Bulls center Joakim Noah said the Bulls were lucky to escape with a win and "games like this one are examples of why you can never get complacent."
The Pacers close out 2014 with a New Year's Eve match-up with the Miami Heat.
